The Norton Commando front Isolastic kit (066130A) is a complete conversion assembly for all Pre-MK3 Norton Commandos from 1968 to 1974. This is the full front Isolastic mounting assembly from Norvil, upgrading the original shim-style adjustment to the superior vernier-type system first introduced on the MK3 — giving you precise, tool-free adjustment and a lasting improvement in vibration isolation.

The Isolastic system is one of the defining engineering achievements of the Norton Commando. By mounting the entire engine, gearbox and swingarm unit in rubber-isolated bearings within the frame, Norton engineers allowed the parallel twin to run without transmitting its characteristic vibration to the rider — making the Commando one of the smoothest British twins of its era. Over time, the rubber mounts wear and the clearances open up, causing increased vibration, handling imprecision and the characteristic Commando-owner complaint of a “wobbly” powertrain.

This 066130A complete kit eliminates all of that. Unlike the earlier shim-based setup — which required careful measurement and shimming — the vernier adjuster allows accurate and repeatable setting of the Isolastic clearance at the front mount. No modifications to the original front mount tube are required.
