Norton Commando reserve petrol tap 031746 — early type reserve tap, chrome finish, 1/4″ BSP GAS thread.
The 031746 is the early-type reserve petrol tap for Norton Commando 750 and 850 models, as well as select late Triumph twins and triples using 1/4" BSP tank threads. Chrome-plated brass body with a flat lever and built-in mesh strainer. Unlike the main tap (033155), the reserve tap has no internal standpipe — it draws from the very bottom of the tank, giving you access to the last reserve of fuel when the main tap runs dry.
