Norton Dominator belt drive conversion kit — a clean, reliable upgrade that replaces the original triplex primary chain on your Norton Dominator twin with a modern toothed belt drive. Supplied by Norvil Motorcycle Company. Part number 04-0400.

This kit eliminates the noise, oil leaks, and maintenance hassle of the original chain primary drive. The belt runs dry, meaning no oil in the primary chaincase, and requires no periodic re-tensioning like a chain. The front pulley and clutch housing are precision machined from HE30 dural aluminium alloy. A sealed bearing is supplied so the primary can run completely dry.

Kit includes:

• Front (engine) pulley — 35 tooth
• Rear clutch housing/drum — 70 tooth (ratio: 2.0:1, close to standard)
• 1000-series toothed drive belt — 30mm wide road specification
• Sealed bearing for clutch drum
• All original clutch components fit the new housing
